Iron Cactus Mexican restaurants in downtown Austin on historic 6th Street and on San Antonio's famous River Walk are as iconic as Texas. Our evolution began in 1996 when Gary Manley and Michael Pottorff restored a historic, turn of the century building on 6th Street in Austin, Texas, that became the original Iron Cactus. San Antonio followed right next to the Selena Bridge. Both restaurants offer amazing views, beautiful patios and historic locations.

Our mission of creating a warm, friendly and unique environment was accomplished, and today our Mexican restaurants provide guests with the best Mexican food and fresh lime margaritas in Austin and San Antonio.
