For more than 25 years, the Iron Cactus Open has been one of Austin's favorite charity golf tournaments. Held each year at Grey Rock Golf Club in southwest Austin, it brings together players, sponsors and the Iron Cactus community to raise money for Marbridge — a nonprofit residential community that provides transitional and lifetime care to adults with a range of cognitive abilities.
Over the years the tournament has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, and its impact is lasting: proceeds helped build the Victory Hall Athletic and Events Center, a gymnasium on the Marbridge campus that residents named themselves.
The event follows a classic charity format — morning registration, a shotgun start, team play, on-course contests and an auction supporting the cause. Whether you play, sponsor a hole or donate, every dollar helps Marbridge residents learn, grow and thrive.
